Waffle House - Lee Hwy in Chattanooga

A group of friends and I went in to have some food. There were only a few people in there at that time. The server, Jenni, took forever to acknowledge us. When she finally did, it took 15 mins to get our drinks. We had to remind her that we still didnt have them before she even gave them to us. Then her kid came in and she started yelling at her kid instead of waiting on her tables. We still never got the coffee we ordered. Then our food came out and it wasnt right, but it wasnt worth the fight of trying to get it corrected. Our hashbrowns were very burnt. Food was sloppily thrown on a plate, not the way we ordered. She never came back to check on us until we had to speak up for a drink refill. Her husband and other kids came in and she continued to argue with him and yell for her kid to sit down. All she kept yelling about was how some lady was trying to get her fired. The whole staff was argueing over tickets and the manager had to step in. It was a very horrible experience!

This place is like no other Waffle Houses I have seen or been in. Looking at it from the road it looks like an abscess pimple that should be poped and drained of all infection. If you choose this place to eat then you myfriend are way to desperate. Take heed .....pass and go is your best option.

Waffle House lives up once again to its general reputation of friendly southern hospitality and greasy food that will chase away both the largest of appetites, as well the largest hangover with the standardized Waffle House fare.

They always get it right and it tastes good. My favorite "greasy spoon"

At least I got the right toast and jelly... Eggs cooked wrong and I ask if they knew the difference.. Bacon lump wanted crispy.. Stop saying you can tell the difference in over medium and over easy. So I can just order scrambled..

David was the night cook and our waitress Heather were awesome especially with it being such a busy night. There was also another server named Joanna who was doing a great job also.

Employees were friendly and upbeat this morning. My call in order was fresh, hot, and accurate. They anticipated my needs and placed the appropriate condiments in the bag. #delicous

Waitress was very obviously on something, ordered a side of bacon and what came out barely resembled bacon and tasted worse than it looked. I don't often turn my nose is at food but I was legitimately too nervous to eat it. Definitely not coming back to this location

A bad vist to the one one lee hwy Chattanooga. The severe had open wounds and was picking them, then running her hands thru her hair. She had time to eat behind the counter. We were ready to leave before the food came When it came out some of her hair feel into my wife's plate. It was not the cooks hair she had short hair. She was nasty her uniform was dirty. When we seen the hair we got up and walked out.. NASTY.....

Still bad management. Still a bad choice. Will try again soon. I don't really like giving bad reviews. But i do something alot of foodies do not do. That is go back and re review. It would be nice for me to do that for this establishment.Pull it together and ill re review this soon.

I enjoyed this visit. It's my comfort food. Today was the 1st time in a while that they didn't make my order correctly, but they fixed it quickly! And let me keep the messed up food, so I wad ankle to bring home some add a treat for my giant son!

This waffle House was awesome. There wasn't too many customers there. They were so friendly, made great coffee and cooked my eggs, toast, and hash browns perfectly. This was waffle House number 641 on Bonny Oaks road. Didn't get their names but I meant to. Thanks WAFFLE HOUSE....

Decent food & service at pretty good prices.

Super dirty, food was cold when it came out. I ordered biscuits and gravy and it came out cold. Everything about the place was just awful

Was my fav place until my very last visit(08/19).always order gravy biscuits with xtra gravy. I seen the lady scraping the pot I'm thinkn it's to make new but in fact she was trying to give to me..Waffle house has never fixd a gravy biscuit like this I'm sure of it. This wouldn have happened if Alma n her crew was still there. So obviously now this 1 not my fav anymore...Shallowford rd got me right together tho😁 #stillloveWH!😘💕

Good food and good people great places to eat

The waitress was friendly, efficient, and polite. The food was good and the table was clean.

After an exhausting shopping day at the nearby McKay's used bookstore, we just had to have something to eat. Waffle House satisfied everyone's dietary demands so we stopped here. Alyssa was very courteous and expedient. She kept our drinks full and got our food out to us quickly. Great tasting as always and prices are the same as usual. We love getting the same food at the same quality whenever we stop at a Waffle House. We will probably make this our typical food stop whenever we go to McKay's. This location is highly recommended!

I must say the waitress that day was really on top of it.and the was pretty good the hash Brown's the cook fixed them in a even square so they wasn't falling apart. I reckon that's how he Fix's all of them. So the service was really great and the food was good.and the tables we're clean. I've went to the one on 58 hwy next to 153 and I live 2 mins from their but I won't ever go there again. 2 times rude tables not clean it was awful!!!!

Only put one star because I had to... rude and unprofessional manager to talk to guest the way she does. My family and I was in there eating when she approached a table being rude and hateful about a situation from a different night. She wasn’t even sure if they were the people involved. They were trying to eat and ignore the situation but she continued for about 20 mins as loud as she could, I guess trying to embarrass them. She then proceeded to talk about the gun she straps to her ankle as well as go to the back and bring a taser out and make it go off right next to their table. Talking about her cop husband. My husband has ptsd and it triggered it as well as scared my child. Never again will we eat here. Maybe you need to get a new manager. It’s s been about a week since this happened and I debated on if I was going to say anything but it has been bothering me so there it is.

Worst place to eat, rough food !! Don’t ever eat here and the manager is really disrespectful Christine , i try talking to her and her answer was “i didn’t cooked the food”! Never coming back . The food is disgusting , how can places like this be open, not healthy and somebody else should be in charge of the place the manager cant handle the food quality !! I wish i could give them less than one star.

This place was so great. The food was good, everyone made us feel very welcome, they were all friendly. We were having a bad morning, two military men paid for our meal and left. I wish I could have thanked them, it was so nice and it made my day.

What can I say about this waffle house staff was so nice and fun, food was amazing my cook was named Tyler he truly knows his stuff. My waitress was Jocelyn always greeted with a smile here most definitely recommend this place as I will be returning myself!🤩

The food here is great. I have come here from South Florida running away from Irma. The ladies at the kitchen give excellent customer service. They hustle a lot and make sure everyone is served well. Thank you Kayla!

It's waffle house lol. You get your food, eat and get out. It's consistent and easy. Open always which makes it an obvious travel stop for those of us who are out late.

Best food and service ever

5 Minutes to get acknowledged. Never offered a refill. Not even have a nice day . Worst Waffle House I have ever visited in 14 states. Previously I was here with the same exact server Amber. I will never return.

Our server took our order then went to sleep at a booth.... The whole time she had sunglasses on ???!! She finally woke up, brought us our ticket, I informed her we didn't appreciate not having a refill ect, she said I was ACTING BLACK(my 10yr old mixed son was with me... All he wanted was waffle house) then threw my $20 bill at me, literally,... My son even couldn't believe she was RESTING at a table and even my child asked WHERE IS A MANAGER???? after we were RACIALLY PROFILED our server said she will CALL THE POLICE which sent my child into a frenzy, he was crying said he only wants a refill of sweet tea!!! I told our server iv managed restaurant atmosphere for over 10yrs & she was ridiculous then she verbally assaulted me again, also stating GOOD FOR YOU!! CALL CORPORATE....IM CALLING POLICE! I spend A LOT of money here regularly, NEVER AGAIN LOL... ONLY REASON THEY GET ONE STAR IS BECAUSE THE COOK WAS NICE 😉

Update 02/14/2020 The building has been completely demolished.January 21, 2020 this location of Waffle House has closed permanently. The windows have been spray painted with large letter indicating this. I can only assume the fact that City Cafe is virtually across the street, is also open 24/7/365, has a much more varied menu along with better food and service was finally more competition than could be withstood despite this Waffle House having been in this location for well over 2 decades.

Quick late night food in Chattanooga

Waited 10 minutes to get waited on. Then another 10 minutes to get our drinks..another 10 minutes to get our order called in and another 10 minutes to get our food. On top of that, the place had only a couple customers. The mens restroom was also out of order. This is the worst Waffle House I have ever been to and I will not be back to this one at all. The manager did nothing to help. She sat in dining room talking to salesperson and people were complaining. We were not the only unhappy customers there. As I said, I will not be back to this store and this has put a sour taste in my mouth for any Waffle House. IHOP looks better all the time now.

Waffle House is the BEST EVER! Good food fast!

The food and service was OK but did not appear to be very clean. Flies everywhere even on restroom. Was definitely not what I usually expect at Waffle House.
